The lightning protector diverts voltage from a lightning strike to ground before it reaches the energizer. This model has two spark GAPS for increased protection. ( Energizer manufactures require that a lightning protection device be installed in the fence system for their warranty to be valid against lightning strikes.) •Use separate ground rods for the lightning arrestor. Do not connect to the energizer grounding.
•Use an insulated undergate cable to connect arrestor to fence line and ground rods.
